Today is Bach's 333rd birthday. Although the closest he may have gotten to writing an opera is his Kaffee Kantate (BWV211), it's worth commemorating here. To do so appropriately I think you should perform a piece of Bach's music. If you can't do that, since he sired some 21 children, you may consider an aggressive session twix the sheets to be appropriate. I intend to do both.

To me, the Passions are quasi-operas as well. Not that he intended them to be, but they really show him to be a master dramatist in many ways.

The St. John’s much more so than the St. Matthew.
