Has anyone paid booking charge with card?

I tried booking a session with a new masseur I never met before. Masseur said he needs my card upfront for booking to block charge and remaining after session. its unusual and have been booking sessions for a while and still first time for me. I decided not to book.

I have paid with credit card after massage and everything was fine. I would not prepay.

You've made the right decision Jamesp. When a masseur pulls that with me, I just tell him that I will take my business elsewhere. Why is he not following normal protocol is the question I have for him?
