The above phrase hangs over the entry door to this site. Given that the founder is no longer with us I wonder if this sentiment is truly being represented.

I believe that the review side has far more integrity than it did when HB handled them. However, the pic of the day is still being sold to the highest bidder and a stream of favoritism continues to exist.

In this message center I feel the managers of this site have failed to be honest in their judgments. People are not treated equally or fairly by management. Some members are kicked out for life while others are allowed back in after a few days of suspension.

Based on your experience how do you grade this site during 2005?

And how is the pic of the day being sold to the highest bidder? Please do share your great knowledge of this. We are all sitting at the edge of our seats.

I only check in here once or twice a week, but feel the owners and admisistrators here do a great job - everyone is treated equally and they only take action in removing someone for an appropriate time period when that action is justified.

Thanks to everyone involved in running this site and have a wonderful Holiday Season

Daddy is doing a great job considering the circumstances... Most don't realize just how much he does and how hard he works at keeping this site (and HB's overall vision) going.

To my knowlege, the Coverboy of the Day spot has NEVER been for sale. Hoo didn't believe in it. He'd simply pick out what looked best for that day and upload as always. From what it looks like, Daddy is doing the same thing, but with quite a bit more diversity in who he picks. As Martha Stewart would say... 'It's a good thing.'

I look forward to seeing what 2006 brings M4M :)

Muscle..You wouldn't notice it, BUT D/O which rhymes with.. Has a very Derogatory Nature when it comes to this site, for someone who "allegedly" has only been around for a short while.

Don't expect anything Positive from this Guy or maybe it's a Girl?

In either case he's strictly Yada-Yada. IMHO of course.

I’ll have to agree with everyone on here so far and say that I think that Daddy et. al have been doing an amazing job keeping the peace and treating everyone fairly. We all miss HB but I think that those that have taken over his site are fulfilling what he would have wanted quite well.

As with everyone else in the thread I'm a little curious as to what you mean by that. Trust me there's no favoritism or you would in fact see the same people at least once a week. There's a great deal of diversity and the rules are simple: for that day someone who shows their face in the picture.

That comment seemed to deliver a strong accusation without telling the entire story. Members who have been banned have been suspended and or warned SEVERAL times before their banishment. It's not like "point and kick" here; punishments have to fit the crime and multiple offenders are going to be punished worse than those with a first offense.

Again Dallas, I have to point out your novice status here having "been a member" since November of 2005. How much could you really have observed being so new. You claim to have had another posting name but can't recall it so we can look at your other posts. It almost seems as if you’re a reincarnated spirit of a banished poster coming back to haunt the boards and start fights when they’re not warranted – kind of like the reasons the past posters were banished in the first place. ;)

RE: "Honest in our judgments and truthful in our reporting "

Everyone seems so shocked that the coverboy of the day is/was for sale. I don't know where DallasObserver received his information from but mine came in the form of a post by escort Vincent Michael.

The post is dated 6-25-05 on escortspeak. Here is the part that refers to the coverboy of the day.

Vincent Michael wrote "I knew that in order to get things moving for me it would cost money and allot of it! I started paying HooBoy $350 a month for ad placement and that was it nothing more or less! However with that ad placement I honestly felt that and mind you HooBoy made it clear that no escort would get special treatment from placing ads on his site. But in all honesty i always felt that I had always gotten special treatment just as Premier gets special treatment...notice most if not all there escorts first reviews are from first reviewers. My special treatment was in the forum of Coverboy of the day and I know this to be true only because every time I increased my ad spending id get Coverboy of the day."

To some that might appear that the spot is for sale. Others might have a different thought about that. But don't be critical because the author of the thread expressed his thoughts and has only been posting a month or two. We don't know his history with the site and I haven't read anywhere where he claimed any or a lot of history.

I find it amusing, of course, that Scott would question this guys integrity when his own is completely lacking.

Grant it, the boys at escortspeak.com pick fights over the stupidest things but one theme that seems to repeat itself is that any complaint against a poster by either Mr. Nicolas or Mr. Adler is grounds for immediate lifetime banishment from this site.

If true, this would be a tremendous abuse of power by the escorts in question and the management of this site. If I am hereby banned for life for writing this then you will know it's true. :-)

If that were true between myself and BN about half the posters in this THREAD would be gone. Don't you have better things to do than form conspiracies?

Any chance you could post a LINK to this? The EscortSpeak reference does pretty much show how much consideration could be taken in reference to the validity of posts. Personally I'm too cheap to pay (see the thread on the fact I use free condoms ;)) to have my picture posted to be featured let alone shell out that kind of money for cover boy.

To my knowledge HB started this site not only as a free center for clients to review escorts but for escorts to get exposure and promote themselves. The one thing that costs money is the premium listings with little icons by your name and features on the main state pages. When I had first started and asked him he said it wasn't money to him, it was a completely separate entity.

So instead of trying to make false accusations and stir the shit, why not be happy the site is even still in existence. Some people are so ungrateful it sickens me. There were accusations of it not costing as much as it does yadda yadda .... who cares either way. The people currently running this site put up with all the drama day in and day out and on top of it put all the work into running the site and posting new material on a daily basis.

It's been said before. If you have SUCH a problem with THIS site you're more than welcome to look elsewhere. But seriously, try to at least be decent human beings and give people that are doing work strictly in the long run for your (the "client's" benefit) the benefit of the doubt and treat them as human beings instead of punching bags.

Man Dallas, for a guy who's only been here a month, you sure have a lot of hate and try to stir up a lot of shit. Take a Xanax.

For the casual reader and poster like me this site is completely FREE and I am grateful to Daddy and whoever else works to keep this site going. I know from experience, it takes a lot of money to keep an internet site going. So if those involved can sell a little advertising or make ends meet other ways, congratulations to them.

This is a wonderful site. But if you disagree and don't like it here, you can always go somewhere else.

Back to the original question.

I would like to see the people who left the message center in the spring come back. I wish Doug, who left fairly recently, would return also.

I would also like Daddy to take on more leadership in the message center & post more often, not just when he gets angry.

To Dallas O who started this loaded thread --- Merry Christmas to you!

Actually these accusations are rampant on escortspeak.com and as far as I know you have never denied them. And to answer you're question, yes I do...but they're not nearly as fun!!:-)

Scroll Up.

Going on Escort Speak to deny anything is a pure waste of time. The only time I ever post there can be equated to that lovely scene in Hocus Pocus when the Divine Ms. M bites off a piece of her tongue and spits it in the cauldron. After doing so the cauldron gets excited, changes colors and bubbles over. I like the watch the stupidity that erupts from my doing so.

Example: I made a post in a thread STRICTLY created to bash me -- one of the posters made a racist remark in response in regard to my religion. Another poster of the same religion took offense and the kitties started snarling and hissing at each other. I don't know about everyone else but I lean back and think "that's entertainment."

There you go again. You KNOW reality has no effect once they get going. ;-)

OK, so I take it that you deny this.

Who is Ms. M, what is Hocus Pocus and why would she do that? I suddenly feel very un-gay.:-)

I've watched you attack anyone who disagrees with you. You follow them from thread to thread. But placing that aside, where did Dallas Observer say he was trying to begin problems? Where did he even mention that this site doesn't have a right to make money or charge whatever it wants?

I have actually read his post unlike some all I see the guy doing is stimulating some thought provoking discussion.

VILLAGE PEOPLE -- GET YOUR PITCHFORKS!!! We have a non homosexual in our midsts!!! Next you're going to tell me you have no clue who Dorothy Gale is....

So I've decided either way you need to be smacked....

>where did Dallas Observer say he was trying to begin problems?

>Where did he even mention that this site doesn't have a right

>to make money or charge whatever it wants?

...Either for being SO naive and/or blinded for not seeing through the fact that his initial post is psychological suggestion game to make people believe that the managers are doing a bad job...

...or because you're being cynical and acknowledging but not refuting the fact that Dallas is obviously a re-assigned IP user here to stir up trouble.

I've decided it's (a) ::SMACK::

No lies dude, I have no idea who Dorothy Gale is. Guess it's Google time for me.

However, before anyone thinks I'm straight, I do have all three seasons of Wonder Woman on DVD and two seasons of Charlie's Angels so I'm not that far gone. Then again...I have the complete box set of the Friday the 13th franchise, where do those fall on the gay-o-meter?

LOL. You're reprinting something I can't seem to find on the site. Since I'm not quite as obsessed with the site (which you have a right to be since it WAS yours at some point and I have some endearing emails from you before you held such biased opinions) I was hoping you could post a LINK so I could see it written in it's ORIGINAL text. I'm sure Woodlawn would agree with me at the very least that YOU reposting would hardly stand up in court ;)

>BTW Scotty you've replied 6 times to this thread, it must have

LOL. I replied 6 times to the thread because I happened to BE right there as things were posted. A couple of my replies weren't even "substantial" but then again you love to spin things into controversy don't you. It does hit a nerve for me though when people are rude and ungrateful trying to nitpick and spin the truth about people voluntarily giving up their own time for the sake of others. It's sad, pathetic and just inhuman.

Although, the concept of "Eating Our Own" is prominent in the gay community as we've seen in the past with groups like HRC and APLA. So I guess I would have to retract that and say it's human nature ... but so is evil.
