Came across a news article about a website where you can order details of the last 100 phone numbers called from a specific cell phone.

 

Web Sites Offer Private Cell Phone Information

A Problem Solvers investigation has discovered that several Web sites will sell the last 100 phone numbers you have dialed to anyone who knows your phone number.

 

The report found that sites like Locate Cell will sell the private phone numbers for about $100.

 

Once the fee is paid on the Web sites, anyone can get access to the phone numbers, including bank, doctor and work numbers, Local 6 News reported.

 

The Web sites are not illegal, according to the report.

 

If you believe someone has found your private information through a cell phone number, you are urged to contact the Florida Attorney General's Office.

Has anyone used a service like this or had someone use it on you? I'm planning to check with my local Attorney General and find out if this is legal in my state. I'm almost afraid it is. x(

LOL That's about it. This News gives New meaning to "CALL ME"...

I'm liking email only , better and better. Cell is good for Last Minute Cancellations for me Only..Which happened twice in my case...

That was my initial thought also. But then I started thinking about how this could be used with an escort's phone to find out about their family or other clients.

 

I'm afraid legislation is not keeping up with techology. Or, worse yet, techology is being used without regard to common decency or respect for privacy.
