Rose Marie (The Dick Van Dyke Show) Dead at 94

I always loved watching her on TV. But, I had no idea of her connection to Al Capone and other mafia types.

 

I remember seeing her on stage in 4 Girls 4, with Rosemary Clooney, Margaret Whiting, and Barbara McNair. Fantastic show.

 

Didn't know until I read the article below that all her numbers were cut from the film Top Banana. Apparently, a producer propositioned her and, in front of the crew and cast, she said "You couldn’t get it up if the flag went by.”

 

RIP.

As a huge fan of the Dick van Dyke show, and her character in particular, I was saddened to hear of her passing. The article was fascinating and I learned a lot more about her. She had a good run.... RIP

Dick Van Dyke is now the only remaining member of the original leading team. Carl Reiner, god love him, is still alive, as is Larry Mathews (Richie), though Mathews left the biz after the show.
