Twice in one day, a white and copper-colored bovine named Stormy abandoned her post beside a not-yet-born baby Jesus' crib at the Old First Reformed United Church of Christ and wandered around the streets of Philadelphia.

 

Her first escape happened at around 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, when she was retrieved by police after being found traveling southbound on I-95 (by car or bus?) and returned to the church, 6ABC reported.

 

In a second attempt at freedom hours later, Stormy was found strolling along the top level of a parking garage in Old City, a popular Philly neighborhood that houses the Liberty Bell. (perhaps she was considering jumping-- suicidal over her forced participation in a religious display)

If you're in the area of 4th and Market, beware of traffic delays. A cow is loose. Again. No, we can't believe we're tweeting this either.

 

Police tweeted a notice that cow-related traffic delays were imminent in the area.

After a second call to the police initiated by the 6ABC reporter as Stormy was dragging Pastor Michael Caine along as the pastor tried to wrestle the cow back to the manger scene, the bovine wanderer has been replaced. GINGER a smaller cow whose Valium seems to be working is now happily mooooo-ing at the baby Jesus.

Stormy has been returned to the 4H Farm in nearby first ring suburb.
