websites Seized!

Has anyone heard news about Bareback.com and Houseboy.com? From what I can tell when you click on the sites you get a notice that they were seized by U.S. Marshalls.

US Marshal can seize property that overlaps states lines for failure to pay bills and property that is in foreclosure. Sites are obviously past due on paying website fee's so they are being sold. Read the entire warning carefully and you will they are not seized for "porn" reasons but to auction off assets to pay past due bills.

Just when I was seriously considering joining Houseboys and actually giving them my credit card number - saved by the bell.....

 

Too bad they are out of business though - it sounded like an intriguing site.

Site is back on line. Here is an extract of email sent to members:

 

"Last week our sites were rendered inoperable by another company's seizure of our domain names. We hired attorneys to argue our case. In the end, we were able to reach an amicable settlement with them. All of this had to do with Copyright Infringement and not anything related to 2257 regulations that have been in the news recently. We are a very stable company and we comply with the laws of the land. We try our best to stay on top of all the issues. In this instance, we were taken by total surprise and unbeknownst to us, our domain names were seized. I will not go into the gruesome details of the case but it was not pretty.

 

I have always been an advocate of free speech and free choice made by adults. I believe that every consenting adult should have the ability to do what they want in the privacy of their home. There are others that do not feel this way. I will continue to stand up for the things I believe in and I will continue to fight for all of us to make our own decisions in our home, our personal sex life and in life in general.

 

If you are still unable to reach the site, please be patient. It can take several days for the site to be reachable once again all around the world. But it is back live and will remain that way!
