As for jewelry, I LOVE IT. Cant get enough, Wear it ALL the time. As for the Ear thing, that's Old school. Doesnt matter now. just wear it.

back in the 90's I remember "Left is right and right is gay", pertaining to earrings. And when I had my ear pierced (kind of a bold move given the company culture I was in), a co-worker remarked "Well, at least it's the correct ear". I don't think there's anything to that distinction any more, if there ever was.

 

In my just-before coming out days, I noticed that a lot of gay guys wore a ring on their right hand ring finger. Was that ever a thing?

I never associated the wearing of a ring on the right hand with a signal the wearer was gay. I knew divorced guys sometimes swapped their right hand for the left. I then assumed it was the sign of a broken relationship. Maybe I was just being naive.

Timely, as just the other day, I had a plumber fix some leaks in the bathroom and kitchen. I noticed he wore a flat band on his right ring finger. Nice looking eastern European guy with accent. Made me wonder if gay.
