So after some confusion this evening, I found out that AT&T has a global block on my phone number for text messages. This does explain why it appears some people are having trouble receiving messages from me. workaround right now is sending all my messages as a photo which still seems to be getting through just fine, otherwise Whatsapp and Telegram are the best alternatives right now.

 

After months of frustration and lies, I ditched AT&T. I am now with Verizon Wireless and never regretted my decision.
