My favorite was between morning and afternoon Services the synagogue showed three hours of WWII Concentration Camp movies.

A college friend - a then-straight guy who was just beginning to explore with men at the time - met someone toward the beginning of junior year, and they first slept together on erev Yom Kippur. They are, as far as I know, still together. (I ran into them a few years ago, neither of them has changed lol.) Though I do feel sorry for my friend, because I do think his lover is The Most Boring Man In The World. But he's a doctor - maybe that's part of the appeal?

 

I do remember being a bit scandalized after my friend told me about his Yom Kippur sex, though. I mean, I wasn't THAT religious, but still...sex on yontif seemed somehow wrong. I guess in their case it was a mitzvah?
