Hi all,

I may be paranoid or overly suspicious so wanted to check with folks here :)

In Portland, 4 profiles recently popped up. See below...

https://rent.men/Mikestrongarm/reviews/

https://rent.men/brocksothick/reviews/

https://rent.men/MightyROD/reviews/

https://rent.men/LongLastingHung/reviews/

They have a certain - je ne sais quoi about them that struck me as similar, and maybe phony. Something about the quality of the photos, the inline pricing... I don't know what it is.

Then I noticed that they share 3 reviewers across 9 reviews total:

MarcAndreus (3)

Jimmy_bttm (3)

Michealbtmfillme (3)

Does this seem fake to you? I'm wondering if rent.men could detect fakes by checking shared reviewers like this (once they invalidate one, they can invalidate those reviewers, etc).

That is a lot of impressive dark meat for Portland all at the same time. Also, the pictures within some of the ads don't match. Whether is it 4 unknown 23 year old white "straight college jocks" descending on a town at the same time, or 4 hot black dudes, the same alarm goes off for me. Proceed with caution.

My question is WHY? They have to pay to be on RM. If the ads are fake what do they gain. I am a bit confused of the benefits of doing this?

Because it works often enough. There was a post a while back from a forum member who visited a guy who was known to be using lifted pics, he said he was thirsty, the guy was only two blocks away and turned out to be close enough to the photos that the forum member got off. :)

I'm sorry. I'm not sure what being thirsty had to do with anything. You mean he wanted to suck off a tallywacker?

Basically. Thirsty has become current slang for generally wanting something from someone else, in this context, sex, so badly you will do something that you might not normally do.

Are you saying that the provider still provides just uses fake pictures? I was under the impression they are using fake pictures in a way to attract others then rip them off in some manner.

I suspect that in the vast majority of cases, you are correct, but in this specific instance, the poster reported the actual provider was similar enough to the pics and performed well enough to be satisfactory for the short term purpose, to put it dryly.

@latbear4blk is our resident expert on why guys might use lifted pics, I'm sure he would be happy to explain further. ;)

Well, sometimes yes, sometimes no. There have been reported cases where the pics were fake, but the escort was good. For me fake pics is a definite no.

Love your existential signature line.

Likewise! I have to admit my monolingual ass didn't recognize the phrase in German, even though it inspired an Asimov book I read many years ago.

The Google translation is inadequate. A more idiomatic translation would be, "Against stupidity even the gods rail in vain."

So, dumb question, Longlasting has verified pix, does that mean anything? How does rentmen verify? Is it easy to fake?

I've found rentmen does a poor job verifying. I've encountered a fake using a really popular celebrity pics, was verified. when i contacted them about it, they said the user had provided reasonable proof. I have no idea what they consider reasonable proof.. though a few days later the ad suddenly had a name change and some of the pictures changed to another person... so id say its still hit and miss.
