I can see from looking at his photo how this man could be influential with underage teens. He is straight and preyed only on his female students, but...

What is really awful is that he was able to keep from being fired by the school district once they found out from complaints filed by his abused students what he was doing and instead they simply transferred him to a new school in the district and thus, a new batch of female students!

Taken straight from the Catholic Church playbook. (I assume I'm using that right. I've only ever heard of a 'playbook' in American TV shows and films, but I think from context I got it right. :D)

From the (US) Google online dictionary:

"Playbook

ˈplāˌbo͝ok/

noun

North American

noun: playbook; plural noun: playbooks

  1. a book containing a sports team's strategies and plays, especially in football."

So yes, @escortrod, you nailed "playbook." Somehow, he must have a pretty dynamic personality to have convinced his district to ignore student complaints enough to earn only a transfer. I am glad the school district is also being sued for this, too. He should have been fired immediately when they got their first whiff of this!

As we know the Catholic Church has a lot to answer for. At the all boys school I attended one of the religious order was defrocked for interfering with boys but it turned out he'd done exactly the same at his previous school & was quietly moved elsewhere with no scandal. He did try it on with me but I was too street savvy & walked away. The thing is I didn't tell anyone because he made me feel too ashamed cos by then I knew I liked boys. Maybe if I'd spoken up he wouldn't have abused others.

Possibly, but you will never know. Don't beat yourself up about it. If you had said something, as likely as not they would have moved him on again. After all, he hadn't succeeded in actually doing anything, only trying to, so 'Nothing to see here'. The ifs, buts and maybes of this have been playing out here before a Royal Commission since 2013, and the former cardinal archbishop of Sydney is facing trial in the coming months. Whether he offended himself or not, he was certainly complicit in moving alleged offenders on to new parishes.

Sounds like Fox News and their issues with talking about family values while harassing women

@beachboy if you have said something you might have been the one punished and blame for it. I believe in old style justice with perverts like him or guys who rape women in college.
