I've been trying to get a picture of myself with a duck lately to use as my avatar, to show some of my person or my face. Luck has not been with me. When I went to the Rubber Ducky Derby (a charity event) recently:

1) the giant inflated duck with sunglasses was not installed there

2) the pool with the zillion rubber ducks afloat was off-limits

3) my photographer couldn't make it

and

4) the guy in the duck suit waddled away before I could try to get a picture with him

*Sigh*

Which brings up my question. The main reason I don't post a face pic here is that I'm not trying to drum up biz and I imagine I could get nailed by the police somehow if my face is known here. Or maybe not? So I might post a distance shot with me in sunglasses (with a large rubber duck if it can be pulled together).

But I'm sure others have ideas about posting a personal pic or not here. What are your thoughts?

I would never do it. It may frighten people away.

How about showing some other part of your anatomy? Rick Munroe has a nice butt shot. I'm a fan of pecs and nipples (as well as butts and cocks) so I would lean towards a chest shot with the duck included.:9

A long time ago when hooboy scheduled "chats" there was a provision for associating a home-page with your chat user-id, and I did, which showed my face (among other things).

I want to own up to everything I do, and leave room for serendipity, and also believe that seeing somebody's facial expression gives you more clues about what they might in addition to the written cues we read here. (So, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you ...").
