Looks like there may be strength to the theory of fake which could prove-wrong any hypothesis.

I know you're one of the good guys around here, Eric, and really want this guy to be real!....you did ask about him a year ago......have you called him or texted/emailed since?.....if the two of you are in the same area, suggest a coffee meet in public with him.....he may say "WTF?", of course, but that probably will suggest he's not as pictured.....I did notice in one of the links above that one of his ads with a series of pictures had a very different-looking dude as the last two pictures, which the poster of that link suggested may be his real look.....

These guys did the same thing to me when they were in ft. Lauderdale this winter.

Did the same thing you did. Luckily, I didn't carry more than the 200 . I figured it was wiser to just hand over the cash than get beat up or worse. I spent the rest of the night contacting backpage. Their ad was pulled before morning.

Please do not contact this guy. I arranged a meeting with him in NY, and despite some red flags, I decided to go ahead with meeting up with him anyway (my mistake). I get to his hotel and he is not the guy in the picture, in fact there are three guys in the hotel room. When I leave to get in the elevator and leave the hotel the three of them come out after me and block the elevator door from closing...until I had to give them all the money in my wallet for them to let me leave. So, prince emmanuel is a bait and switch robbery scheme...be careful.

Sorry to hear these stories. I avoid Backpage altogether for these reasons. I have heard too many stories of gangs baiting people on Backpage just to rob or mug them. Better to stick to a spa or more legitimate websites - and to always check this website first.
