why does the outcall price seem to surprise you so much? I mean he must lose at the very least an hour of travel time, so I don't think its at all unreasonable?

He's not losing an hour of client time, I doubt even for all in calls he books appointments back to back with no break at all between them. The average going rate in the city as discussed in other threads is about $160/hour for an in-call, so he's already $40 over that. The average mark up on masseur finder for out calls is $20 to $40. So, yea, I think an out call with a price $100 over the average in call rate, even for NYC, is ridiculous. Hell, there are some escorts who have lower hourly rates than $260 for an hour...and this guy is only advertising massage.

But, hey, if he can get it, more power to him.

I didn't mean his calls were necessarily back to back, but my point is that travel time is time you cannot book a client, and so there is the potential to lose an hours work if the prospective client can only do a certain time. Also, from my own perspective, as someone who usually works from home, it's more cost effective to pay an extra $60 than it is for me to lose an hour at my hourly rate in travelling to the masseur, so on many occasions it suits me to have a massage at home (I also have a table). I agree it's a high rate for a masseur, but all depends on how good it is and what extras may or may not come with it, at least for me.
