This has nothing to do with anything in particular other than appealing to my sense of the absurd. Also it's a fun piece of information.

Not all heads of state have an overblown sense of their own importance. Or should I say self-importance. Although, to be fair, it's easier for a ceremonial head of state to do something like this.

Crown prince is one thing (in my eyes) because often there is what is referred to as the country's "spare." I speculate (but I could be very wrong) most of the population would not want its monarch to be flying a plane and endangering his life more than necessary. Even though constitutional monarchs are usually there just for show the people have a certain attachment to the king/queen.
