A long while ago, BostonGuy posted a long list of nifty links, including this one for online hotel discounts:

http://www.hoteldiscounts.com/index.html

The site says their rates exclude fees. I see no mention of what those fees may be on the site. BG, do you or anyone else know?

Alternatively, besides priceline (which I hate), I'd appreciate any suggestions for other such sites.

Thanks! :D

I just used the hoteldiscounts.com site and it does actually charge you a small fee before you complete your final transaction. It was about 10CD

so its not to bad.

Greg's site is great but my computer is on dial up and I didnt want to wait to download the info Ill download it sometimes soon though.

novice-I really recomend travelaxe. As Greg mentioned they really scour the internet for many options including Hotels.com and about 8 others.

I also have dial up(shudders)I input my info, and then go take my shower-when I am done with the shower the info is awaiting me on my puter.

Another search engine is Sidestep.com They have 2 options,a stand alone and an install.

The stand alone works just fineThe downloadable is kind of a pain-and has a non-harmful spyware program, any time you look at a bookung site it pops up.

Also go to the tourisime Montreal site, they have a few good offers.

If you are going to be there more than 5 days might I suggest Le Presidence apartments. They are in the Crowne Plaza and are very nice serviced apartments.Close to the village-but also right ontop of a subway station which is a great convenience.Call them directly for the best rates.
