I have tried to find this out from the web sites, and can't....

 

Did Queer as Folk end with season 4, without wrapping things up, or will there be a final season?

QAF new season starts Saturday, March 26, at 10:00pm ET, on ShowTime.

 

Hope it's as good as early ones!

The Showtime episode you mention on Saturday, March 26 is a repeat.

There will be a 5th and final season, but the only information on the Showtime website is that the 5th season will begin in May. The May start date is confirmed on Dean Armstrong ("Blake")'s website, again no specific date in May.

Why is it that both HBO and Showtime *SUCK* at keeping people informed of the status of series? If you listen to the QAF trailer on the Showtime web site, it does say May. The site is awfully confusing. I looked carefully but could find no textual description of when the new, and apparently final season gets underway.

If you dig deep enough in the message board on the QAF web site you will find a reference to season five starting on Sunday, May 22nd. Not hard evidence, but the best I've been able to find so far. I plan to have my DVR set for that night. :-)

They have (e-mail) mailing lists for all their series, and those are usually pretty good ways to find out when they're coming up.
