Gay McDonalds ad in France on YouTube - banned

Hey guys,

 

I just noticed that the next ad has been banned on YouTube:

 

If I go to YouTube via a different IP number, outside the US, I can watch the video.

 

There's nothing explicit or offensive in the video. It's even a very cute commercial. In a time where same-sex marriage has been approved by the Supreme Court it's surprising that this video has been banned in the US. Does anyone know how or were to submit a complaint?

I don't know that "banned" is the correct term here since I doubt that its unavailability in the USA has anything to do with censorship. Likely it's a legal/contract/$$$ thing. Does the ad contain any popular music that's subject to copyright law? If so, that could be the reason. The ad agency negotiated a fee to use the song in a certain country or set of countries but didn't secure worldwide rights. Just guessing.

The entirety of Youtube user Yaggvideo's feed is regionally restricted. It's possible that this restriction is the user's decision. In this case the user represents Yagg, a French GLBT magazine. http://yagg.com/

This other commercial was pulled off the air but is still available on youtube because it was found to be stereotypical of gay men. I think it's just funny and it reminds of some folks who open the mouth and the purse comes out yet they still believe they're in the closet and "nobody knows".
