Nicest Palm Springs Gay Resort

I have stayed at four different gay resorts in PS and with out question The Hacienda is the closest you will come to four/five stars. Recently i have been staying at InnDulge which is significantly less costly than the Hacienda but probably fall more in the three/four star category. The Hacienda was used by the TV show, "Finding Prince Charming".

 

One fun memory from years ago at InnDulge - Chi Chi Larue was filming a porno flick.....the crew & guys were all staying there....most days they all left the property for filming out in the desert....once into the late afternoon / early evening they were filming a scene around the pool....almost all of the guests sat around to watch the filming / action....a fun party atmosphere....don't know if they're still in charge but the owner / operator couple in those days - John & Jean - nice, friendly guys / smart biz men too.

Stayed at the Hacienda in 2004 with a blond twink and the owners fawned over him in a nice way. Really had a lovely time. I plan to finally attend the PS weekend next year and most likely would revisit. However, the Airbnb option is always attractive. Once I know the dates for 2019, I’ll book right away.

From the info I gathered, this would be the ideal go-around for the budget traveler :

Start at CCBC early Sunday morning for $15 admission and continental breakfast between 7 and must be off grounds by 11, followed by cruising over to Canyon Club same day for $10 admission and must be off grounds by 4. These rates are invalid during special events or holiday weekends, but it's a great way to see 2 resorts normally at the price of seeing one.

 

If I remember correctly, however, I (and perhaps others) went to the Canyon Club after one or two of the PS Weekend events and sat around the pool to talk. At a certain point people left to go to the bars and I think some stayed and got into some sort of hanky-panky. But I cannot swear to that and they seemed to be younger.

This thread contains much helpful information. Two years ago I stayed at CCBC and completely agree with CoryMonroe's comments. Years ago I stayed at InnExile and it was very cruisy, especially at night. Then I heard it went straight, and now is part of All Worlds. Does anyone have any recent experience? Thanks

Thank you. This thread focuses on CCBC, which is not of interest to me because I prefer to be in Warm Sands to Cathedral City. The All Worlds Annex is fairly new. Maybe someone will review it soon. Someone I met at INNdulge said it is very nice.

I agree with The Hacienda, if only because it is where stay. Very small, very private. However, I think that there are some standards that the owners set about what can go on in common areas. Otherwise as long as you don't break anything it is pretty much "Katy, bar the door." As long as you don't keep out Tristan or Ace/Tyler. The two pool arrangement is really nice, as is the provided lunch for those who really don't want to venture out in PS (me).

How "good" of a friend? You can call anyone you want. And I am sure that you could celebrate your friendship with Ace/Tyler, perhaps even Tristan if he is available, in your room. Lunch is really good. It is generally a host of salads and great sandwiches made by a gourmet sandwich place in town. You choose them in the morning and they arrive in the early afternoon. If you are off galavanting, the staff will place them in the frig for you to eat when you get back.
