I know, I know. You're thinking, "Not another post about fake ads on BP."

But I think I've found an industrious faker. He has the same ad running in several cities. Here's the Orange County version:

I didn't have any luck searching on the pictures but if you google the title of the ad you find copies all over: LA, SF, Louisville, Miami, Chicago, and so on.

Do you think he (or they) are spending a couple hundred bucks to place all these ads? IDK, maybe it doesn't take money just some time to post the ad everywhere. And maybe fakers do this all the time. It's just the first time I really noticed it.

Anyway, be warned he's probably pretending to advertise in a city near you.

If you look closer at your Google search, the ads are not running simultaneously in all those places....so it tends to indicate that he is traveling over a period of several months.

And isn't the point of Backpage that the it's mostly free to advertise?

This doesn't look like a fake ad to me. While it could be pics taken from Instagram, there not the show-off type of selfie you normally see.

And while a lot of fake ads mention that the guy is visiting, they never give you a date range, just " hurry and get me while you can " I see those profiles for months.
