Sorry if this is not in the correct forum but I was not exactly sure where to place it.

I subscribed to Bryan Hawn's website but cannot figure out how to unsubscribe. On his website (bryanhawn.com) there is something to subscribe. However there is no way to cancel when you are finished. I paid for my subscription by Paypal (monthly). I have contacted Paypal and that company will not pay the next payment, however, they said that I still had to contact the actual company (BryanHawn.com, that is) and cancel the contract. I went to the site and could not locate anything that allowed me to cancel. I was wondering if anyone knew where on the site that allowed for a person to contact the company to cancel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. TBT

I don't know, but your credit card company should be able to help you. I find American Express has especially good customer service.

To the VIP Access? It looks like it's a monthly PayPal charge. So, cancel the charge at PayPal should be enough.

The website is terrible, but they appear to have a Facebook page for customer communication. Maybe send a Facebook Message?

According to his YouTube page, his email address for business inquires is [email protected]

I subscribed to Bryan's site for about a year. All I did was send an email to the email address he had on his site with the heading, "Please Unsubscribe" and a note that requested I be unsubscribed. Probably cancelling the Paypal recurring payment should also work.

I definitely cancelled through Paypal however they more then happily did so. However they also sent me a cryptic note stating, "Note: Cancelling this payment with PayPal may not relieve you of the obligation to complete your contract with your merchant. You should notify your merchant directly about cancelling this payment." I had no idea what that meant and when I checked his site it had nothing that indicated a way to contact the business. I took your suggestion and went to the Facebook site (Facebook.com/OfficialBryanHawn). However there seems to be nothing that allows you to contact him or his company. His .com, of course, propels you back to his OfficialBryanHawn site. Eventually I just sent it to a www address Paypal had on their email. Who knows. Thanks.

PayPal is just letting you know that although it will not send a payment for, you may still be under a contract to pay a merchant and you need to contact the merchant to cancel the service.

For example, if this had been your cable bill, the cable company would continue to bill you until the service was actually cancelled. Not sending payment does not cancel the obligation to make the payment for services rendered, where actually used or not.

Thanks, now that you mention it. If an entity states that you are under monthly obligations but there is nothing that also states that it will continue month to month then I assume that it ends on the last day for which payment has been made. This would be different than a recurring obligation where my obligation runs from one month to the next unless the business is notified that its services are no longer required. Is that correct? In this case Bryan Hawn's subscription simply states "$19.99 USD for each month." Nowhere does it state that it will be renewed at the end of any month.

in the case of a website subscription service, I suspect that it has the ability to turn off your service on the date that the payment is late. Paypal probably doesn't know the difference and is providing the notice to customers just so it doesn't become liable for those charges because a customer inferred that doing so end the payment obligation.

Never in my life have I seen someone make something so simple so complicated.

You sign up through paypal. You cancel through paypal. 19.99 each month means recurring. When the next month happens, you will be billed. That's what a membership is. When you cancel you will no longer be billed. If you don't cancel before your billing cycle, paypal will not refund you. Thanks Bryan

As stated in my 11/26/16 post above, I found it completely simple and easy to unsubscribe and end the monthly subscription fee!
