How do most people feel about auto responders

on an escorts email ? I don't mind the first one that acknowledges

the email , but after making contact with the escort and continuing to

get the auto responder every time an email is sent makes me look elsewhere. If I am going to fly someone here I like to have developed somewhat of a rapport beforehand and an auto responder turns the situation cold !!!:-(

I totally agree and think auto respond is great when the scort is travelling, but extremely impersonal if left on all the time. I would just look elsewhere.

Auto responders are one thing. How do you guys feel about canned responses? Things that are pre-written and thorough with little details specific to you, but obviously meant to be cut and pasted to save time?

I don't mind auto-responders at all, even for repeat emails. I assume that if an auto-responder is on, that someone is at least receiving my mail and will, presumably, read it sooner or later. I much prefer getting a response from an auto-responder to getting none at all. Even better is getting a response from an auto-responder that is up to date and provides good info (i.e., "I'm at the gym and will respond to email after 4:00 pm today.").

Regarding canned responses, they're the heart and soul of most professional sales programs. As consumers, we frequently ask the same questions of sales departments as other consumers. Cutting and pasting from standard templates is a time-honored way of efficiently responding to such requests.

Clients who expect a personal, customized response to every inquiry to an escort are being unrealistic in my opinion. Most escorts are operating as one-man businesses and are often fielding many inquiries. Expecting every one of those to be custom written, especially given the low percentage that actually turn into real business for most escorts, is simpy unfair.

My suspicion is that the guys who want personalized responses are probably the sames ones who don't want the escort looking at the clock or any in other way indicating that they have some life outside of servicing this particular client. That's just unfair and unrealistic. Relax; life is more fun when you don't sweat the little details.

Hhhmmmm......canned response, or NO response? Tough choice.

But I'll take the canned response over NO response every time.

At least I know the escort's e-mail address is working.

Even if he isn't.

I like when I ask questions that actually cant be answered by a "yes" or "no" and the answer I get is "no problem call me"

I know people are busy, but so am I and when simple questions arent answered I figure that it is better to just forget about it.

When I was going about my search for an escort to be my first, I received an email from one guy that was not automatic, but had nothing to do with my email...didnt answer anything, and bascially said just come over and Ill handle everything...interesting approach

The amazing thing about this question is that after years of clients whining about NOT getting responses you're complaining that you ARE getting reponses.

The usual complaint is that email doesn't get a response.

You got a response. Where's the beef?

I think the beef is that this response is in fact a non-response -- on par with 'message sent' prompt of senders email client. The one valid benefit is to provide the sender info that recipient is out of contact and will get back. Otherwise no better than 'message sent'. Am I wrong? :7

Actually, it isn't "message sent". It's "message received" which is something your mail program cannot give you with 100% reliability.

Of course. But I don't think that deflects the thrust of my comment. ;)
