That's interesting. Do you have quite a fleshed-out profile? Most of the guys who have viewed me on RM have either little or no information on their profiles.

I must check again what I have in my profile. I've only been a member for two months, and I don't have it set up to show that I have viewed others' profiles. In that time I have had two people view mine and then block me (no other contact with them), both were in Atlanta. I don't recall if it was the same guy twice or different guys.

I have the same experience. I would say greater than 90% of the guys (potential clients) who visit my profile have absolutely nothing in their profile. No pictures, no text, no stats.

I didn't join the site with the intention of giving escorts whose pages I checked out any indication of who I was, and I don't have my profile set to leave a track when I do check them out. That said, I do occasionally open my profile to leave a track, and I have posted some details so I'm not a 'blank profile'. I'm happy for escorts to tell me that I should post more information, just be aware that if we haven't chatted I won't be falling over myself to post details. If we have chatted, I'll take your suggestions on board, Eric for example.

As is well known around here I hire with some degree of regularity thus I am always perusing the rentmen profiles for escorts who might interest me. I look at profiles of guys in my area as well as those of guys in place I might consider visiting. I am totally indifferent as to whether or not one of the escorts whose site I visit contacts me. I usually delete any contact message from any guy whose ad I have visited. If I’m interested in meeting a guy I will contact him when I’m ready.

 

I apologize if what I’m about to say offend anybody. My rentmen profile say NOTHING about me and that is exactly how I want it. As far as I’m concerned escorts who advertise on rentmem are selling themselves to me (the potential client). I am NOT selling myself (the potential client) to them (the escort). I have great respect and admiration for escorts but I find it inconceivable that I should put out a large amount of personal information on my rentmen profile for all to read. During my preliminary negotiations with an individual escort I email him a detailed description of myself thus he may decide, based on that information, whether or not he wants to continue setting up an appointment. I have NEVER sent an escort of photograph of myself and am NOT about to start doing so now or in the future.

I used to do what Epigones does -- no profile, but rather detailed info about me and what my interests are in an opening email. Then based on this thread, I developed a full profile, but when I view my profile info it freaks me out that it contains my phone number. That may not be visible to others but let's face it, no privacy any more. So I'm going back to my old ways, Epigones style.
