Did any of you happen to encounter this notorious sleazebag? He made a fortune setting up phony charity benefits and his story intrigues me. I read a synopsis of it (I think in Vanity Fair) and now he has a book out. But I cannot in good conscience buy it because he might receive money from the purchase! But he did have some good stories about the avarice of the stars who appeared at some of these shows; e.g. Gerald Ford demanding a huge amount of cash for his "charity" appearance.

 

Tonken reportedly lavished enormous sums on male escorts. So who has a tale to tell?

Is this the person behind the QasF plot line from last season on this very topic? It was a minor sub-plot, extending over a couple of episodes. At the time, I just knew a real incident had to be behind the sub-plot.
