Yet another Backpage question....

I responded to an escort ad that appeared on Sunday. I received a response today with details, rates, and an offer to forward his mobile number and pics if interested. I emailed back to let him know that I would be interested. I tried to link back to the ad from his email because I wanted to search a pic he had posted, and I noticed that the ad's been pulled.

 

For those that deal with Backpage ads.....is this something done often, or is this indicative of a setup, scam or worse (LEO)?

Done often, most likely not indicative of anything other than he changed his mind, got enough $$ maybe?

Thanks. I've replied to a few in the past, but they've all stayed on the site more than a few days. I'd prefer not to use Backpage to hire, but it's the only resource available in the area right now.

It's controversial...its another resource albeit with one that comes with more intrigue, fakers, etc. ive used it successfully but with an extra dose of due dillegence and careful vetting on my end.

 

I will be honest and say not much locally (Los Angeles) on Backpage has interested me at all recently. Still some fun Craigslist guys out there, those too fewer and far between.

I've never used Back page. I'm not daring or horny and enough after all the bad shit reported here and other places. I just use my hand until I can get out of town. Be careful. Reread all the threads on Back page here so you can properly vette the guy. Good luck.

Some of these guys (or at least their ads) move from city to city pretty quickly. I used to track a few ads that moved around between St. Louis, Indianapolis, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Nashville, and Atlanta. You might check BP for a few cities within driving distance or wait for him to reappear.

I have noticed that when rent is due etc some guys will show up on bp then when they get enough for rent they pull it..happens a lot. I always do a google search on the phone listed as it can help you in yr decision to hire. His all Bing side some of the best guys I have met have been on backpage..grad students or young exec paying off school loans..a few I still connect with a few times a year and it's always fun. So good guys are out there you just have to trust your gut and proceed with caution when hunting
