I've mostly lost my belief in the existence of "gaydar" (either that or my gaydar is broken). Seriously though, one would have to define "gay" first.

 

As far as Tim Kaine, I agree that he's not as stereotypically masculine as say Joe Biden or Mitt Romney. But does that mean he enjoys having sex with men? I honestly have no idea. His speech intonations and mannerisms may or may not have anything to do with his sexual proclivities.

 

Conversely, I would never have guessed that former senator Larry Craig was into homo-sex.

 

These days, my attitude towards labels is to just take them at face value without second-guessing whatever people choose to call themselves.

I finally read this entire thread. At least @Unicorn wrote a very good justification half way through for the existence of this thread.

 

For me, it never crossed my mind whether Kaine is straight or gay. The same for Paul Ryan.

 

I liked so many of the responses to mention names, except that @sniper writes too well to be burdened with that name. I do not know @Truereview well, but enough to know that he is not a show off. As usual @Kenny is the voice of reason. End of naming people...because I am leaving too many others out. Very interesting discussion. I leaned a lot. Thanks.
