Honestly! I tried being happy once and it was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. People saw the grin and figured I was a pushover. I got stopped by panhandlers, sob sisters, and everybody in town with a dog that needed adopting or a lawn to be mowed.

It took a while, but I finally managed to get as grumpy as everybody else. I started by sucking lemons and then joined a pinochle club comprised of sore losers and indigents. When a spot opened up with a repo company, I jumped at the chance and started hanging around retirement homes and playgrounds.

Don’t get me wrong. Every once in a while, I still feel a smile starting to break loose. But then I remember that it’s just a hop, skip and a jump to the Politics Forum and the feeling passes. http://www.boytoy.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif
