This becomes a very annoying time of the year to try to see new movies.

 

Many movies only open in L.A. and NYC so that they can qualify for Oscar consideration. There is plenty of information and press, but damn you can't find the movies anywhere else. Usually we get things in Boston fairly early, but it is still frustrating. I want to see Bad Education, but it won't be here for weeks.

 

I usually go to NYC on a Theatre/Movie trip in December so that I can keep up. I am not sure why movies are distributed like that, but it is frustrating.

The film opens Friday here in Los Angeles. I believe one of two theaters that it will play in is the Sunset 5 in West Hollywood.

Saw it yesterday with an old friend (heheh, take that you dessert rat!)

The opening credits play out with this Alfred Hitchcock/Psycho type sound track that engages you right away.

Anyway, loved the movie. Great performances. Intricate and carefully woven plot lines. Oh, and there's some nice eye candy as well. want to see it again to appreciate the intense layers in this film
