And I as a kid I lived in the town where the A.C. Gilbert Company made those Erection... I mean... Erector Sets... Going for 400+ bananas on EBay. Oh to have one of those now!

I really do not remember this happening as I was just a wee kid. But years later my dad told me about an incident that occurred when I was quite young. I guess I got a boner when I was in church and I said in a rather loud voice that my "what-ever-I -called -it" was hard. My dad said he cupped his hand over my mouth to shut me up. To this day I wonder what caused it. Possibly, I was glancing at a certain Station of the Cross?!?!?!

 

Incidentally I was never very religious in spite of (because of?) too many years in parochial school. Plus, I thankfully got thrown out of alter boy school.

I knew a kid all through grade school and high school. Smart as a whip but socially awkward, looking back I'd guess he was somewhere on the Asperger's spectrum. We all liked him but it was hard to connect with him. When we got to be preteens, he had a boner ALL THE TIME, and never seemed to feel he needed to hide it at all. (I suppose we all had boners all the time, but tried to be discreet out of embarrassment.) Finally one of the boys told him he should cover up because the girls were going to see, (which I know they already had, with many giggles), and he started to, sometimes. But I'll never forget him just walking around with the obvious bulge in his pants.
