Adonis or Floppy Rooster

In my upcoming travels I will be passing through both NYC and Miami. I have time - and money - to entertain myself at one or the other, but not both. Assuming that the nude party even happens while I am there, would I be better off going to the Adonis nude party or swinging by the Floppy Rooster in Miami?

I've never loved FR - I just don't find the guys friendly enough and they don't really make the rounds among the crowd. I'd suggest checking out Boardwalk in Ft Laud.

 

I've never been to an Adonis party but the pics sent around are usually quite stunning. Probably better looking than many you'd find in South Florida. But it also depends on the type of guys you like - lots of Hispanic dancers in South FL whereas Adonis has a mix but usually more of the all-American white guys.

FR (and BW) are legitimate bars with pole dancers, etc. I agree with @mikefl81 's assessment of FR...I went once and was not impressed with the interaction. BW is much more interactive and my first choice when I am in the FTL area. While the dancers are not naked at BW, many have been quite willing to drop their shorts in the lapdance area. BW is a bit of a hike from Miami though.

 

The Adonis Nude Parties are just that, private parties. Usually held in a private space, there is no booze (although the pop-ups Tim has been holding lately have allowed BYOB). Paddles, where the monthly Nude Parties have normally been held is in a dark, very seedy basement that usually hosts S&M parties. The boys come around and flirt to get you to buy lapdances in a moderately uncomfortable, chaperoned, open balcony area. Having said all of this I have gone to several of the nude parties (usually when there is a headliner/pornstar I want to see up close and personal) and would go again. Last time I went I...uhm... engaged Nick Capra!

 

Of course there was a time, when the Nude parties were great... albeit illegal. They were held in a small loft like space with a roof terrace, liquor was sold, and they had champagne areas. The champagne rooms were curtained off from the main lapdance area and in tents on the rooftop terrace. However, after the parties were raided (no arrests except for the promoter Tim) they ceased to exist for more than a year until they came back in their current, presumably legal configuration.

So I did end up going to both. I only spent about an hour and a half at each one. So I can do a little comparison.

 

I guess both were slow nights. I would say maybe 15 customers at Adonis - I am suspecting that was way, way below normal. The flip side there were a good 15 naked guys there too. It was titillating I guess for about the first 5 minutes, and then surprisingly dull afterwards. You didn't dare look below their chest because it was like they would pounce on you. There were a few (not the majority, I would say) who were downright aggressive - the only time I ever had to, well only time I ever wanted to, say no thank you, please leave me alone. Is this what women feel like in bars? Wow that is an eye opener. Good mix of guys, they did lapdances upstairs on a balcony area. Pretty tame though, and quite honestly it felt like the guys there really were a bit uncomfortable. Oh, and as for being in a "dungeon", not really. I have definitely hung out in worse bars in my life.

 

Went to Rooster on a Sunday so knew it would be dead. They had four dancers, all were Latino but surprisingly mixed. The place itself was far far too loud, and too much smoking going on. Women are allowed with a male, but most guys who came in came in with a woman.Am I the only one who finds that weird? Anyways they did get naked, and were on stage for quite a while. Obviously they choose guys with large dicks, so if that is your think you have found your place. They do have private booths in back - instead of by song they do by time - 15 minutes for $120. Kind of steep, but it is fully naked, and yes they do get, shall we say, participatory. So it is expensive, but worth it.
