Mass shooting victim’s mom wants gun control, not ‘prayers’

The mother of a victim in the California shooting tragedy — who managed to survive the 2017 massacre in Las Vegas — said she wants gun control and not “thoughts and prayers” after the death of her son.

The grieving mom of Telemachus Orfanos was emotional as she told reporters she wants “no more guns” after the latest mass shooting inside the Borderline Bar in Thousand Oaks.

“My son was in Las Vegas with a lot of his friends and he came home,” the woman said. “He didn’t come home last night.”

The woman continued: “I don’t want prayers, I don’t want thoughts — I want gun control and I hope to God nobody sends me any more prayers.”

It has gotten to the point where one tries to recall which shooting was where and when it was. Most recently it shocked me that some of the potential victims in the Thousand Oaks shooting had also survived the Las Vegas shooting.
