Now on Netflix a documentary worth watching if only to be reminded how gorgeous he was and still looks damn good at 85. Lots of still and film clips, he managed to transcend his pretty boy image and did some respectable acting. I had forgotten he had a big recording career and never knew he was an accomplished horse man. And he could figure skate. We know what that means. If the film was accurate he seemed to have managed not to fall prey to alcohol and drugs. Given that he had to live a closeted life for so many years that's to his credit. The film ends on a nice note.

Just watched it last.He came across as a very grounded guy with a sense of humour about himself. Now I have to see Lust In The Dust again.

And Polyester. I've even got Odorama cards for hat one.

Tab Hunter was my first celebrity crush when I was growing up in the sixties. Thanks for mentioning this documentary. I watched it last night and was deeply moved by Hunter's story. The man led a very complex life and was much more than just a pretty face. The relationship with his mother and loss of his older brother in Vietnam were highly emotional moments.

He looks better than I do now even with the thirty years he has on me. :(
