Very interesting! I am definitely in favor of thoughtful, careful decriminalization of sex work with enough controls to insure against human trafficking and child victimization. I hope it will be the next conquest in the struggle for social equality. Sex is a human need and pleasure, not a crime.

There's a major new male sex work blog,

"Me, Us & Male Escorting."

Take a peek.

What do you think?

In our post-rentboy world, US practitioners need to be careful about what they write on websites;

but I see that this blog is published by two Australian academics, where the legal environment is

somewhat different than in the US.

Just had a quick look at the site, and it seems promising. It will be good to have a place where serious social research on the subject is posted. Activism is fine but it can be dismissed as being self-serving (I'm not suggesting that it is self-serving, just the perception). It's also important in the wider discussion about sex work that concentrates on (and condemns) the perceived power dynamic between male clients and female sex workers and condemns sex work as inherently exploitative of the workers. For better or worse, it is far more difficult for the anti-sexwork narrative to paint male sex workers as victims.
