Sorry but I find the math absolutely scary here. Someone charging $120-160 per hour and doing massages professionally probably has at least 10-15 clients per week, and may have 30 or more. So we could be talking ~100 per month, BJ would be one of the last things I'd want. Admittedly, my first priority is to get a good massage and a nice bonus is to get it from a hot & friendly guy in whose presence I feel comfortable being naked, but any overly sensual "extra" that's included in the package that everyone gets would actually be a turnoff, even if much less intimate (and hence safer) than a BJ. I have never hired an escort but there could be benefits to paying 2-3 times more just to make the math less daunting, but then, hiring an escort has its own set of potential (legal and other) issues...

So it's not your thing, that's cool. It's not really my thing either, but that's because I am not comfortable being serviced. It has nothing to do with safety. You do realize that the chance of getting something (especially HIV) from receiving a blowjob is as close to zero as statistically possible?

The probability of contracting something goes up if one reciprocates. Based on my sample, the several masseurs that assumed that I wanted a BJ also assumed that I'd be eager to reciprocate. Which made it very awkward, and scary, and, needless to say, I never went back. Also, my private conversations with others here reveal a very high probability of reciprocation, so be careful out there, guys, all I'm saying.

PS Aren't you concerned about the safety of masseurs too? Not knocking it down, adults make their own choices, but I believe that if the "market" was less enthusiastic about receiving a BJ on the first appointment, many of these (often young) guys would be taking less risks.

I'm sorry but that's a little bit too paranoid... When you have a hookup do you wonder how many guys your date has given a b/j?

I'm not sure your stats are correct. I think it's accepted as a matter of common knowledge that the risk of HIV transmission via oral sex is extremely low, but I thought I remembered reading somewhere that other STIs have varying transmission rates because they don't all share HIV's limitations (as in needing relatively fresh bodily fluids). I'm not sure what the numbers are (and I'm at work, so can't delve into the research right now), but I don't think it's accurate to conflate the low oral sex transmission rates of HIV with other STIs, absent a medical citation. Normally I'm not such a stickler, but you seemed to present your opinion in such an authoritative manner, that I think it should at least be mentioned.

Your best shot is to find someone who advertises as an escort on Rentmen who also does massages, rather than a guy on Massagefinder or other gay massage sites. There seems to be a real delineation of services provided between massage guys and escorts. Guys specifically call themselves one or the other and advertise on specific site where the work offered is one or the other.

You're right. I should have limited my comment to HIV. Based upon my own experience of giving and receiving countless BJ's and never catching a single thing, it seems rather germophobic to me. But I should not be so dismissive of others fears whether they seem warranted or not.
