Did not mean to overstate - I had viewed his RM profile, and he nicely contacted me but the logistics of meeting did not work out -- but he recently contacted me again, with a tone and manner which I truly appreciate. Hence my interest/curiosity.

You do not "bug me" at all, dutch...

As far as I know, when you view a profile on RM, the person you visited knows of it and can view your profile on the site if you have created one (which I have done). I can see, for example, if someone has viewed my profile (even though I am far, far, far from being an escort-quality guy. They can contact you via the RM site, but access to any other information about you is restricted (unless you specifically choose to include it as part of the profile you have created).

I'm not a member of RM, but as I understand it, if you are and you are logged on when you view a profile, the escort can see your details, and therefore can contact you.

Yes. If you have a "premium" RM account advertisers can see that you've viewed their page. I don't have a "profile" but still get messages from guys whose profiles I've viewed.

To me, that exchange just seemed bizarre and I was willing to give the escort the "benefit of the doubt".

 

Having said that, meeting him is an experience that I am unlikely to repeat. Review to follow, specifics on request!
