OK....I'm new to the Forum. I've done a cursory search of the site but haven't been able to totally decipher the "ranking" levels of the members. I started out as a Newbie and just recently was elevated to Apprentice status. Where am I headed now and what can I look forward to?

 

BTW....I'm older than Queen Elizabeth which technically makes me THE ranking queen but that's another thread.

It's on the RTE toolbar to the right of the smilies/emoticons. The icon is supposed to look like a photograph but looks to me more like a postcard with the stamp in the wrong place.

 

The trickiest part is that the image must be hosted elsewhere on the Net. It can't be uploaded here. (Takes up too much bandwidth.) If it's on your hard drive, you must have someplace else to host it. If it's risque, you have fewer choices as to where to upload it.

 

If it's on the internet, you can try to hotlink it using the image URL, but some sites don't allow it (bandwidth issues again). Rightclick the image and copy the address/link (not the webpage address). The image address will have a .jpg or .png ending. Insert that in the popup and voila, the photo should appear.

And...FWIW I have found that with most images you can simply 'copy' and 'paste'.

1. right click

2. click 'view image'

3. right click

4. click 'copy image'

Go to the post you want to insert the image. Click the mouse on the post where you want the pic inserted.

5. right click

6. click 'paste'

Image should appear...
