Pop Culture enthusiasts are in a Frenzy. Over the weekend, 2 of the biggest young Heart throbs made some MAJOR changes.

 

1) Harry Styles, formerly of One Direction CUT HIS HAIR (for Charity).

2) And Bad boy Justin Bieber got a FACE tattoo (albeit a small one) , of a tiny cross under his left eye (VERY Thugish)....

 

His Tattoo artist wrote: "I did tattoo a small cross near the corner of Justin's eye,". "It was a representation of his faith in Jesus and his journey with finding purpose in God."

Richards is a rock god. Bieber is a pop pipsqueak. Some of his songs are decent, but the best I can say about his singing is that it's not pitchy and contains at least a modicum of emotion.

 

These days Jagger looks worse than Richards, at least facially, but I don't think he fried his brain with drugs the way Richards did.

Patti and Pearl Jam are the rock singers/bands I listen to the most right now. Tomorrow it could be other people, Ella Fitzgerald and Bob Dylan perhaps.

 

I am only mentioning people/bands I have seen in person. I so like the Stones a lot, but surprisingly have few of their albums. Same with the Beatles.

I respect both Patti Smith and Eddie Vedder allot and would gleefully see both again anytime.

Smith is an icon who remains grounded, has a moral-compass that is rock-solid and fearlessly speaks her mind.

 

There's a fascinating few minutes snippet of an interview where she shares her opinion on where we are as a society and gives some great advice to young folks.

 

On the other hand, I've never seen anyone command a crowd like Mick Jagger in a stadium... riveting.
