I have found the four-legged sycophants to be mildly enjoyable. The effort required to make and keep a cat as a friend is energy well spent.

 

I didn't have my first cat until 2013. The second one arrived in 2015. I think I will be with a feline for the rest of my life.

I agree. My 16-year old cat died in February after being ill for several months. He really was a friend and trusted me completely
