There is a current thread where a poster is self-distructing before my eyes and I find it incredibly sad. I am no longer opening the thread but it keeps popping to the top (as these threads often do) of the forum. :(

I will defer to the admins for sure but this was asked in the midst of a thread coincidentally by the person I think you are referring to doing the same thing and the answer then was no, you could only block an individual.

I think it is perfectly OK to use the buttons "new posts", and then "mark Forums read"

without having visited every single post that has new additions.

I don't bother to read posts request information about an escort in a city I'm never likely to visit,

for example.

Sorry this is so late, but in case you need it in the future....

I have found that if you put someone on Ignore, you cannot see any thread they started. So that's a roundabout way to block a thread.

In the most recent thread started relating to the person we're talking about I thanked Daddy because I inaccurately thought Daddy had made all the posts ever written by this person disappear. Then I realized they disappeared because its the first time I used the "ignore" function and that's why I couldn't see anything he'd written when I was signed in. It is another limitation of the software, because depending on where I am I look at this site on at least 3 different devices, and if I'm logged in the ignore function works, but if I'm not logged in it doesn't.

No software is perfect. But compared to when I started posting all the little buttons that let you add photos or GIFs, or the "like" buttons which give you a sense of what comments strike a chord, are great tools, and have enabled lots of fun and naughtiness.

Thanks anyway to Daddy and the administrators for the handling of this matter in terms of what gets posted or locked or which member gets timed out. It has been a pretty extraordinary situation that has created endless groans and the OP's comment speaks to the heart of a lot of people. I appreciate what you've done, which is I think the best you could do given the software, which is actually pretty damn good.
