Question for DC board members

I will be in DC during the first few days

of October and wonder what you would suggest

for a club or clubs to visit on a Friday night.

 

I'm 39, in good shape and am very masculine.

Not into the leather or the drug scene.

Looking for clubs that might have a good mix

of guys in their forties, thirties and twenties.

Definitely do not want to be at a club where I

will be the oldest guy there at 39.

Well, it's been awhile but I used to like 'Remingtons' which is a Country/Western bar. What I liked about it was that it had a good mix of people, and that it was bright enough to see who you were talking to.

Remington's is a good suggestion if you enjoy country and western music and line dancing. There will certainly be a mix of guys from the 20's through the 50' and even 60's, and they tend to be quite nice. But, if you aren't into the country scene, you may not like it.

 

Other suggestions are JR's, Cobalt and Window's on 17th street. JR's will mostly be a crowd in the late 20's through the late 30's, but there are some twinks and older guys there, too. Cobalt starts out older downstairs in the "lounge" and then ends up mostly younger upstairs on the dance floor. Window's is a small bar above the restaurant, Dupont Italian Kitchen (DIK), and is usually filled with guys from 30 through 50's and 60's.
