Question Regarding Rates

I've been corresponding with a young guy I discovered on Backpage. I think this is his first time escorting, and his initial rates were outrageously high for what was being offered. Since he's a local, and exactly my type, I'd like to set something up with him where we could negotiate a rate for 2-3 meets per month (or more), 1-2 hours depending on availability. We've set forth most of what will transpire, with other items on the table. If we click, I'd consider occasional overnights and weekends with him. He's agreed to discuss some type of volume rate, but I have no idea what to offer. There really aren't other legit escorts in the area to compare rates, and I don't want to low ball him. On the other hand I don't want to over pay him. Any thoughts, suggestions, help would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend holding off on negotiating a regular meeting rate until after you'll have had a get together. I know if may seem that he's your type, but until you've connected in person you don't know what the connection and chemistry is like. Its hard to speculate what a fair rate is, but as a newbie I would consider offering him $250 for your first meeting and something around $200 for future & regular get togethers.
