McDonald’s Will Serve Happy Meals With Books Instead of Toys

 

Trying to get your kids to read more? You might want to take them to McDonald’s, where they’ll get a book instead of a toy in their Happy Meals, now through Feb. 15. Fair warning: you might want to tell them in advance, because they just might throw a fit when they find a paperback instead of a shiny plastic toy.

As someone who occasionally sales on ebay, I'd prefer the toy. That $3 happy meal toy could go for hundreds a few years if not sooner.

Maybe they're testing the concept. If it's successful maybe they'll consider implementing it going forward. Hope so.

when I was a kid I would have preferred a book any day over the toy. especially if they are handing out those creepy Princess Leia toys. what the hell is that? a rattle? her head is enormous for that body.
