Actually the humidity has a tendency to be high here. I can feel it as I grew up on the South Plains of Texas where the humidity was low. It just isn't as sticky as back east because it doesn't get as hot. Also I grew up in dry cold which I prefer. The wet cold of Seattle chills me to the bone.
