In this weekend's USAToday, June 9th, Life Section, lower front page, there is an excellent article on gay couples traveling with their families entitled, "A gay new time: Family cruises, vacations"

The article includes references to travel planning entities that could be useful to anyone planning a trip:

R Family Vacations, Kelli O'Donnell

Out&About, Ed Salvato, a travel newsletter

International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association

Family Pride Coalition, Aimee Gelnaw, Washington, D.C.

Each year there are numerous inquiries about travel destinations here in the Forum. The best way, in my opinion, to start planning a trip is talking with a travel agent who has "been there" who will also attend to little details of the trip that will help make it a success. Then, membership observations from Lounge participants here is even more useful in making final decisions.

Note that the Message Center here has a Section for Escort Travels. Perhaps, it would be useful to start a Member's Travel section -- its big business, its a big world, there are lots of places around the world to see (though, having said that, and having travelled internationally, Montreal and that Taboo are singular destinations, though not for the family. Sometimes you get lucky). :)
