Hey Guys,

 

They're back, and this new ID sequel looks like it's gonna kick ass like part 1 did. :)

 

I've been waiting for ID4 sequel to be released for ages now, and finally it's coming out in Real 3-D, IMAX 3-D formats in theatres in Summer of 2016.

 

There is a catch to this upcoming sequel - It's actually a 2 part sequel. From sources on the internet this sequel is drawn out where half of it is shown in 2016, and then the remaining is released with a part 3 in 2018. How cool is that?

 

So once were done seeing this sequel, we'll have another one to look forward to as I guess the ending will be of a "cliffhanger" ending I take it - where you can tell it's not over, and another sequel is in the making as we speak.

 

It's been reported in the media, they'll be making the 3 installment to the series in early 2017 for release in 2018.

 

Watch out for Independence Day 3 in 2018, guys. :).

 

Only sad thing is: Will smith is not in the upcoming blockbuster sequel, but the guy who plays his grown up son is hot. :)

This thread looks like it is meant for those who squealed like a girlyboy being rimmed when the hero of the first movie came up with the solution to defeating the aliens, so I'm going to keep my big, fat piehole shut.

 

I know you meant this for all scaredy cats posting on this thread but I have to defend myself. Hey, I'm a man, really, really I'm a man....haha. I don't squeal like a girlyboy. I wanna see it! I remember seeing the trailer for the first one 20 years ago, and thinking, "I HAVE TO SEE THAT!!"

 

I heard Will Smith was written out of the sequels, as he wanted $50 million. The studio just basically said, "no thanks, not for THAT price tag!" Brent Spiner (the crazy scientist at Area 51) who played Data in Star Trek will also be returning as his character, as he never really died in the first one. Just went into a coma.
