OOOO. Christmas Vacation. Ok, that's in competition with Bad Santa. CV is a better movie, but Bad Santa is just so amazingly over the top (though not as much as Black Christmas, or Silent Night Deadly Night, thank goodness)

People can judge for themselves how feminine Danny is as himself, rather in film where is playing a character.

 

Sorry to digress (again) from the fun intent of the thread. but isn't it a little ... disappointing ... that on a Forum of (mostly) gay men , we would discuss how "fem" Danny Kaye is or isn't? WHO FUCKING CARES? Thanks to WilliamM for inserting a clip in which DK appears (in my opinion) no more or less "fem" than the other men present.

Since CBS has broadcast the "I Love Lucy Christmas Special" for three or four years now in prime time, perhaps I should speak up for the show which I watched tonight. It's not a film, but the Lucy Christmas show from the 1950s has become more of a network annual event than any film except "The Sound of Music."

That was great. But, I was disappinted they were a lot easier on "Easter Parade" w/ Fred Astaine, Judy Garland, Ann Miller and Peter Lawford. All of those stars would seem to be better tagets than Vera Ellen and Rosemary Clooney.
