I have had to stop using Masseurfinders because they prohibit anything hinting at the erotic nature of my work. The local gay rag is effective, but most of my clientele are not gay and don't read it. I'm going to try Men4RentNow and have been directed to Backpage. I appreciate feedback. Nothing will ever come close to the glorydays of Craigslist Erotic Ads I'm afraid. Thanks.

Based on other conversations here in the past I would say … location… location… location.

What works best in one city/market may be totally dead in another.

And those cities/markets might even be quite close to each other.

As a client, I consider a posting in the “Custom” section of Masseurfinder as a strong hint the masseur is open to a little more than “just” massage. Not a full on escort experience - but likely a happy ending and maybe mutual touch.

 

Check on where most of the other masseurs in your locale advertise

Rentmasseur

Sexymasseur

Backpage - maybe under “Male Escorts” but emphasizing masseur - not escort in the ad text.

Or under “Body Rubs”.

Craigslist - maybe under “Services” > Therapeutic (put “Male” in the title to assist client search).

Or in Services under “Strictly Platonic” m4m - but need to word very carefully to avoid being flagged.

Or in Services under “Casual Encounters” m4m - wording important to avoid being flagged.

 

The goal is to just get that initial contact.

Consider creating a web page you can direct inquiring minds to once that first contact has been made.
