Don't know if anyone was following the terminally ill man who was a huge Star Wars fan and his wish to see the new film....wish granted by J. J. Abrams.

Maybe some think it's silly that a grown man....very ill at that...,is so into Star Wars. But movies have tremendous affect on people. I'm sure we can all think back to a movie or movies that we have seen recently or long ago, and still recall how it affected us....happy, tearful, frightened, etc, etc. I'll mention one...showing my age..,;)...., Psycho.

I know I'm totally off escort topics but...oh well.

I'm glad he was able to watch it too; that's really cool. I've never seen any of the Star Wars movies. *gasp*

I have several of those, particularly The Wizard of Oz. When I was growing up, it was a tradition in my family that whenever The Wizard of Oz was on TV, we'd all watch it together. Of course, this was long before it was readily available on VHS, DVD, etc. Once when it was on, I was sick with a very bad stomach flu. I fell asleep huddled there watching the movie with my family, and when I woke up the next morning, I felt fine. I was convinced that the movie had cured me. :)
