S. FL. strip clubs backroom $$

After spending an evening club hopping with friends last night, I came to realized how screwed up the clubs are and how screwed we are getting.

 

CLUB 1: We started at Boardwalk. To go out back with a dancer, you need to pay $20 every time you head out back. It used to be $5 for every visit to the lap dance room. I guess the Liza Minelli look alike who collects the money must have gotten a raise!

 

 

CLUB 2: We next arrived at the new Johnny's - now LeBoy. I have to admit, this is a fun place to go because it is clean and the dancers are a lot hotter that at the old place. It is $4 for parking, but free entrance. At least here, they give you a menu for private dances, so you know ahead of time what you are being charged. Plus, they give you a hot towel after. Now that's CLASS, LOL!

 

CLUB 3: We lastly ended up at Floppy Rooster. this was one of my favorite places, but that ended last night. The dancers were ok, but the patrons were HOT!!! I haven't seen so much quality beef in many a year. I was watching the bar more than the stage, LOL! I ended up going out back. Paid $10 for a bracelet for the evening. On the sign, it said $20 per song. I did three songs and gave the room attendant $60. He said it was $100! I said that was three songs, he said it was 15 minutes. Each song, supposedly 2.5 to 3 minutes long. After a little debating, I said they should put on the sign they charge by the minute, not the song. I still had to pay the $40 extra. That is certainly false advertising, and I know they don't give a damn. At least they should have supplied the KY for the screwing they gave me!

 

I miss Swinging Richards so much. After their closing, the other clubs have gone crazy. I have a feeling the dancers must be having fewer dances and income.

 

If you come the S. FL, just beware!!

 

At least we still have Montreal!!!!

As much as I love the S FL clubs (about a 5 hour drive for us), they appear to be getting pretty greedy. I miss Johnny's. Dollar for dollar (especially with the current exchange rate), Montreal is a much better value. The men are way more fun, and no fee to the house for entertainment As long as airfares stay reasonable, we just might have to head to Canada more often.

I loved FL SR! Had a terrific assortment. I thought the location was great - Im sure they could not be in a downtown, but they were so close to 95 it was easy to drive to.

I've been to Flop's twice. The dancers were so aggressive. I'll probably try again though. Hopefully it's better this time since they have no competition for naked dancers. I'll report back in Dec!

So it's $20 just to get in the lap dance area plus what you pay the dancer? Every time? They should give you a wrist band and other party favors for that.

Couldn't agree more. Since LeBoy adopted the Swinging Richards business model, I've pretty much lost interest in doing any private dances. I figure if I like a guy that much, I'll make an offsite offer.

 

I'm surprised the quality of the dancers at LeBoy has been maintained - it's the dancers who are also getting screwed. They had a much better chance to do well at Johnny's.

 

This year I went to Ft Lauderdale about 3 times. That's half of what I used to do. I've yet to do a private dance at any of the clubs since all the changes. Doesn't seem to be a reason to go much anymore except to see some friends down there. In 2016, I may go even less. Sean seemed to do everything right when LeBoy first opened (except for chosing that awful name) but when the backroom BS rates kicked in, all the improvements became meaningless.

You got screwed for paying 100 for 3 songs instead of 60... having said this, maybe you'd love to visit Thailand, you can get a guy for a plate of rice there, and I'm sure is way cheaper than a plate of rice hereo_O

I live in Ft.Lauderdale, and just don't enjoy these places anymore. I've been to Bangkok 5 times this year and have a lot more fun. I just put the money I would spend at Boardwalk aside each weekend and turn it into a Thailand trip every couple of months.
